Spotlight on The Dallas Street Dog Project

Things have been crazy busy around Haute Dog lately, between working with the most amazing clients to all sorts of exciting behind-the-scenes projects that we can’t wait to release! Luckily for us, work means loving on puppies and creating gorgeous memories, so we can’t really complain!

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

– Confucius

Last weekend I met four of the most happy-go-lucky dogs for a photo session in Historic Downtown McKinney, about an hour north of Dallas. They are part of an organization called The Street Dog Project, dedicated to reducing the homeless pet population through rescue, education, and outreach.

JAX stole my heart with his giant squishy face and endless smile. He loooooooves people, including kids, gets along great with other dogs, and is good with cats. He’s both crate and house-trained and gives the best kisses ever! He’s about 3 years old and done growing, making him the most perfectly portable pocket sized pibble. Jax is currently in boarding and would love a foster or forever home to snuggle up in!

DAISY is a gentle cuddler that loves to chew bones and be around people. She fits right in with other dogs and although slightly shy and sensitive at first, she is coming out of her shell by the minute. She had the greatest manners and was such a sweetheart. Daisy is currently in a foster home (hooray!) so she is looking for her forever now.

CHEVY is pretty much the poster child for peace, love, and puppies. He’s great with kids and dogs and cat tested well! He’s higher energy and would love an active home or fun playful doggie companion.

CLARA has more love to give than her tiny little body can contain, and as a result, it just constantly wiggles with overflowing joy. She is a happy, athletic, fun gal who LOVES to play ball and go in the water! She’s great with people and kids, but due to her overpowering happiness would do best in a home without small children. She appears dog friendly, but has not been tested at play yet.
